The purpose of this template is to provide a references style backlink in a glossary entry to the place in the article from which the user jumped to the glossary. It is used in conjunction with template {{glosslink}} in the body of the article. The template is placed in front of the id text within the id field (field #2) of template {{term}}. Field #1 of glossback is the id contained in field #1 of the relevant glosslink template.

Field #2 of both glossback and glosslink contain the superscripted text that links to the glossary and back. A single, lowercase letter is recommended to distinguish from reference links. In the case of multiple occurences of links to the same glossary entry, each occurence of glosslink can be assigned a different letter up to nine occurences. These superscripts are entered into fields #2 to #10 of glossback.
