Summary

Description

Ball-and-stick model of the unit cell of the crystal structure of anhydrous copper(II) nitrate, Cu(NO3)2. The structure was reported in S. C. Wallwork, W. E. Addison, J. Chem. Soc. (1965) 2925-2933 and can be accessed as CSD entry 1603530, ICSD entry 28477 and COD entry 1542184.

This is the α polymorph. Another polymorph was later discovered and named β-Cu(NO3)2. See Z. Anorg. Allg. Chem. (1995) 621 1261-1265 for details.
