Summary

Description
English: Antenna tower of AM radio station KBRC, located in Mount Vernon, Washington state, USA. This common type of broadcasting antenna is a "mast radiator"; the 200 ft (61 m) lattice tower itself is connected to the radio transmitter and serves as the radiating element. This closeup shows the supporting guy wires attached at three levels at angles of 120 ° around the tower. They are insulated from the high-voltage tower by pairs of ceramic strain insulators. The pairs of arms projecting from the tower are aircraft warning lights. KBRC currently broadcasts on 1430 kHz with a power of only one kilowatt.
