Summary
DescriptionSargent Group quantum dot solar cell.jpg
English: This experimental solar cell uses eight layers of colloidally-deposited quantum dots to efficiently capture a wide range of the solar spectrum. The metal dots on the front surfaces are the electrodes connected to each layer, two each for a total of sixteen. The "starburst" patterning of the cell material is due to the spin-casting technique.
