This image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{vector version available|new image name}}.
It is recommended to name the SVG file “Us standard atmosphere model.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter.
Summary
DescriptionUs standard atmosphere model.png
Example graphs of temperature, density, and pressure as a function of altitude for the US Standard Atmosphere Model. The data used to produce these graphs was obtained from a program I wrote in the MATLAB language. This program was based on a FORTRAN program written by Ralph Carmichael of Public Domain Aeronautical Software.
