English: 1963 Plymouth Valiant with halo antenna for VHF ham radio communication. A halo antenna is roof-mounted, for communication on the 6-meter amateur radio band. Owned by Harry Garland who operated the mobile station under his ham radio call sign of WA8FJW, as displayed on the car license plates. The 6-meter halo antenna is a “Saturn 6” manufactured by Hi-Par Products Co. in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Photographed in Grosse Pointe Shores, Michigan in 1963.
