विशेष तत्त्व जिस का प्रभाव रेडियो पर पड़ता है मोनोऑक्साइड (पोलोनियम (II) ऑक्साइड के रूप में भी जाना जाता है) फॉर्मूला पोलोनियम ऑक्सीजन के साथ रासायनिक अवयव होते है। यह पोलोनियम के तीन ऑक्साइडों में से है, अन्य दो पोलोनियम डाइऑक्साइड (PoO2) और पोलोनियम ट्राइऑक्साइड (PoO3). यह इंटरचेल्कोजेन में उपयोग किये जाते है।
उपस्थिति और तैयारी
इस प्रकार से पोलोनियम मोनोऑक्साइड काले रंग का ठोस पदार्थ है। यह पोलोनियम सल्फाइट के रेडियोलिसिस के समय बनता है (PoSeO3) और पोलोनियम सेलेनाइट (PoSeO3).[1][2]
रसायन विज्ञान
ऑक्सीजन या पानी के संपर्क में आने पर, पोलोनियम मोनोऑक्साइड और उससे संबंधित हाइड्रॉक्साइड (पोलोनियम (IIपोलोनियम (द्वितीय) हाइड्रोक्साइड, पो(OH) दोनों2) Po(IV) में शीघ्रता से ऑक्सीकृत हो जाते हैं।[2]
